presents Dr. Uday Kulkarni tabla

Dr. Uday Kulkarni is appreciated in the world of percussion & music as a unique tabla player performing regularly all over the India. He is currently an assistant professor in tabla at the Goa College of Music.

Uday is a disciple of Pandit H. Somashekhar from Dharwad. He received his advanced training under the guidance of Pandit Ravindra Yavagal, Pandit Suraj Purandare, Dr. Rachayya Hiremath and currently under the world renowned tabla maestro Pandit Anindo Chatterjee.

Uday's brilliant performances and a natural instinct to adapt to all musical situations have established him as a widely performing artist through out the globe as a tabla soloist & an accompanists to all forms of music.

He has performed all over the country with great maestros like Padmabhushan Dr. N. Rajam, Padmashree Pt. M. Venkatesh Kumar, Pt. Jayateerth Mevundi, Pt. Ronu Mujumdar, Pandit Ganapti Bhat, Ustad Bale Khanji, Pandit Praveen Godkhindi and many others.

Uday's creation of "Taal Naman", a concept of offering a prayer to divine through Nada has been well received by the music lovers.
